i know its bad but the fa cup has lost all meaning to me. its become almost a farce. they need to bring scotland into the fa cup before it loses all of its appeal. id lvoe 2nd place in the premiership, to finish above the scum and not have toqualify for the champions league would be bliss.

If the fa cup winners got into the champs league instead of 4th place that would add something to it as well right?

I know what you mean. If we won the FA cup it would be fantastic, but to finish above the Mancs and not have to go through all those rediculous qualifying rounds for next season's CL is very tempting.

I would choose beating the Manc for 2nd spot over the FA cup any day of the week. But thats not gonna happen, they have to much quality upfront.

But winning the FA cup by destroying Chelsea in the final has a certain appeal... hehe.

I gonna sit on the fence for this one.

tough one!!!!

i've gone for 2nd, because auto into the champions league will be important in getting the right player for next year,

i think the fa cup has made a big come back this year, beating the mancs while on a stag night will hold fond memories of the year for me.

but the money comes into it as the board will be able to release more cash next year,

fa cup or the 9th euro cup.....  no contest

2nd is important because it means that we don't have to come back earlier for next season in order to qualify for the CL again. by the time next season starts, the likes of gerrard and carragher will have been playing for 11 months without any rest whatsoever.

any silverware is important but quite frankly the fa have f#cked up again and made a mockery of the fa cup by having the quarter finals spread across 4 days in midweek. surely they could have kept some of the magic by having the quarter finals on a saturday and moving premiership games to midweek? ???

Still FA Cup IMO. I'd love another trip to Cardiff especially after losing the last time. I want us to leave Cardiff on a good note. This is our only chance of silverware this season (apart from the super cup). This is the best chance we have had in a long time in winning it. It may go to a Liverpool - Chelski final which would be great. The only thing that is annoying IMO is the way the semis are played in Cardiff, it ruins the whole point of the final (going to a big stadium) They should have kept the semis at villa park and old trafford. Either way I prefer FA Cup. Although you have to play a qualifying round it is part of pre-season and will give some of our players competetive match practice.

Has to be the FA Cup for me. Winning a big trophy (The FA Cup is still a great competition to win) is always better than finishing one place higher in the league, unless its the difference between 2nd and 1st. The FA Cup final is a huge occasion, and if winning it means we have to play two qualifying games to make it into Europe then so be it.

2nd place really it has to be.

With the world cup coming up most of our squad are going to have no rest and will end up playing over a year without a break. The last thing we could do with are qualifiers again for the CL.

One of the most enjoyable games in recent years was the 2-1 against Arsenal...F.A. Cup for me, I still love it.

The cup. It's a trophy at the end of the day.
