When you think we missed out on potentially £15 million for McManaman and now giving this excuse of a footballer away for nothing who cost us £10 million, well you don't have to be Einstein to do the maths do you?

Redrider had we not sold Owen he would had walked out on a bosman and we would had got nothing at the end. 8 million is better than nothing, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that.

Separate argument, but I have had this thought that if Owen had stayed and we had pulled nothing for him.
We might have earned more than £8m from the goals he would have scored, CL money and prem goals for CL qualification etc,
Just a thought !
