Get the feeling Brewster really needs to shine at Swansea as on Sundays evidence his peers are passing him by. He's clearly a popular boy in the squad but his influence seems to be isolated to social media and Liverpool TV.

Any young player can blossom when you least expect it but despite Klopps friendly approach he will not hesitate to bin Brewster.

Really needs to step up now like other young guys did on Sunday.

For me, it's never a good sign when a young lad leaves on loan. None of the academy players that actually made it with us ever went on loan.

Brewster was jammed up 12 months ago to be an imminent first teamer but failed to produce so he's been given one chance. He didn't play in the Everton game - chance number 2 I think a decision will be made at the end of the season and maybe let go as a talent who's not got what it takes to play for LFC rather like Conor Coady etc.. He'd be excellent playing for someone like Wolves or Sheffield United.

Very hard to judge the lad when he has suffered a bit with injuries over the past 18 months - this loan isn’t “last chance” for him when he hasn’t been able to grab a chance yet. He is going to get minutes for the rest of the season instead of sitting on bench.

Really poor today on his Swansea debut.

Swansea keen to keep on-loan Liverpool youngster Rhian Brewster for another season

The 20-year-old has made a positive impact with Swansea fans during his spell and has started all but one game since his arrival

Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster is wanted by Swansea next season in a second loan at the Liberty Stadium.

The England Under-21 international moved from Anfield in January and has scored four goals in 10 starts in the Championship, with hopes he will stay in Wales to continue his progress.

Brewster has been reunited with Steve Cooper, who was coach when he won the Under-17 World Cup, and has nine games left of the regular season when football returns after the coronavirus crisis.

His five-month loan will be extended until the end of the campaign and he is firmly in Cooper’s thoughts when he plans next season. 

Jurgen Klopp will assess whether Brewster will benefit from a whole campaign with Swansea or be part of his first team at Liverpool. So far the 20-year-old has made a positive impact with fans during his spell and has started all but one game since his arrival.

Brewster had a number of Championship teams chasing him when he became available during the last window.

He could have moved to a top-flight team but there would be less opportunities for regular football and his relationship with Cooper was a key factor.

Brewster scored in the final of the Under-17 World Cup three years ago when England defeated Spain to win the tournament, with Phil Foden and Callum Hudson-Odoi among his team-mates.

He has since recovered from a serious ankle injury and was on the bench for last season’s Champions League final win over Tottenham.

He made his competitive debut for Liverpool in the EFL Cup this season but Klopp looked to loan him out to get experience at senior level rather than keeping him with his first team.

Looks like he's getting back into the swing of things just nicely. The lad is sharp as a razor, has 2 good feet on him and looks hungry for it so with any luck he will make it here. I do think another season on loan would further that but if our plan is to bring in some new 19 year old as backup next season I would rather see Brewster get a chance instead.

Sterling had established himself by 19 and in fairness he hadn't half of what this lad has in his locker.
