dirk kuyt has gone to fenerbahce on a 3yr deal.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18316612

he was never going to be a 20 goal a season man, and he was never going to set the world alight with pace or skill, but he's been a fantastic servant to the club. never complaining, never showboating, hardly ever injured, just worked 110% in every appearance, without question. and wherever he goes in life, when he's an ancient old grandad, he'll be able to put a smile on his face and tell his grandkids about the day he bagged a hattrick against the ***** at anfield  :buttrock

dirk kuyt, we salute you

Six years of total graft. As well as his superb workrate he scored some hugely important goals.. none moreso than in the last few minutes of the 3rd CL qualifying round in 2008/09 against Liege that put us into the CL proper. Paid off his transfer fee with that goal alone.

Great servant, great fella, all the best Dirky.

Should have got £3-4million for him, but if he got the move he wanted I'm happy for him. Not many have worked harder for the shirt. You might not have thought he was ever good enough, but you can't deny he always gave his absolute best.

Good luck Dirk, YNWA.
