As written in a previous thread (I think under ROY HODGSON) it seems my chat with Xabi's brother (Mikel) in Tenerife, several weeks ago, had an effect which finally led to Xabi's praises to LFC.

he would do so well in Kenny's set up, pass and move, fluid passing, quick thinking... would be a joy to watch

agreed, Liverpool is his home. He left and we all understand why (dont bring it up). He's very much respected around these parts and he's always welcome at Anfield. He's been nothing but dignified, a class act

Thanks for everything Xabi, hope to see you in a red shirt once again!

Xabi Alonso has revealed his plans to bring his son up a Liverpool supporter.

The midfielder is expected to feature for Real Madrid during their Champions League quarter-final tie with Tottenham, who currently edge the Reds in the race for the Premier League's final European qualification place, this week.

And despite leaving Anfield for the Spanish capital in 2009, Alonso remains fond of his former club following a momentous five years during which he lifted won Europe's premier club competition in addition to the FA Cup.

"I am still a Liverpool fan and will be forever, absolutely," he told The Times.

"The things that I have lived and the experiences I had during those five years are deep in my heart and the passion and respect I had for the club and its supporters are still the same.

"Hopefully I can transmit to my son what Liverpool Football Club means and how special it is, as he was born in the city and he will visit it in the future.

Class act as you would expect. Which is alot more then we can say about the last Spaniard that left us.
