I have seen a few games of Real Madrid and didn't really see Xabi set the team alight.Does anyone know how he is going down with the team, fans etc this season, Is he proving a hit? Maybe Sabre can give a better answer?

I would personally love it  if he doesn't prove a hit as we could try and get him back.

Who knows he may be getting home sick and might be missing Merseyside

:D

He's been sh*te at RM. Struggling to get to grips with games and caught out of position a lot.

A loan move, with the option for a permanent deal, to Anfield would be good for him. :p

Sorry, I have my bias, and I've avoided to see much of Alonso on a white shirt, I have some sort of allergy to that view.

But the Madrid press write good things about him.

I've been able to watch alot of RM and our Xabi has been great for them.  Holding the midfield, passing all over the park, just like he did for us.  Anyone who thinks selling him was a good move... well.. I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you.

Ok I was wrong then. I was drunk and a tad emotional when I posted last night

Hope it goes well for Xabi. He was a great player for us.
