Hi everyone, I am doing a featured article on Stevie G.
So I would like to know who his childhood heroes and influences were. Also, did he face problems becoming the player he was today? I only know a brief biography (from Wiki and other sites) but not the stuff above. So I thought I would ask the experts. Thank you! Any extra trivia would do as well.

not read it....always thought it would be better to read a biography when his career is over.

Agreed. It just grates me to the bone to see quick money schemes. At the end of his career I would definately buy it as his football career would have been completed and it would be more suitable to read the accomplishments of what he has achieved. Instead, releasing his book while still playing just appears arrogant. Its like buying an aerobic excercise video made by jade goody ! so wrong !

I see your point, it probably would be better if they waited until there career had finished before bringing out an autobiography but everyone is doing it these days, and to be honest Gerrards is a decent read with quite alot of interesting content, bringing them out earlier means that we get a view of how he is feeling now rather than in 10 years time about things, because his own feelings are bound to change given time anyway.
Mcmanaman wrote a book about 1 season at Real Madrid that was very very interesting i thought, cant see the problem with people doing it tbh.
Unless its a wag who is about 23 and they are bringing one out to try and boost there own profile.
