for me one of the best games beardsley had was the Liverpool 5 - 0 Nottingham Forest, he made a great run with the ball but hit the bar, if that had gone in we would still be talking about it today....hold on i am.

He was never considered among the leading lights of the side but Terry McDermott was a terrific footballer who knocked in some superb goals from all angles. Technically he was like a player from Continental Europe the way he cushioned the ball and moved it about quickly. I should imagine that in the modern era he would be likended to footballer like Fabregas or our very own Acquilani (one day maybe! :;):

) Anyways he was a fave player of mine during his time with Liverpool and some of his finer moments in the clips below :-

Simply a fabulous player, watching him playing in tandem with ray kennedy every other saturday was just brilliant.
