Over 65,000 supporters completed the official End of Season questionnaire and now all the votes have been counted, we can present the Liverpool 2004/05 Awards.

Luis Garcia's goal Vs Juventus was brilliant and is a deserving winner but I thought Steven Gerrard's goal Vs Middlesbrough would have mustered more votes than it did.

i voted for stevie g's goal against olympiacos, purely for the fact that it was an AWESOME goal and the meaning of the goal too! if he didn't score that goal we wouldn't have one the champions league.
also, we would of had to stay in the uefa cup instead!

When you consider that Garcia' goal was against Buffon (who I still rate as the world's best keeper despite cech's season last year) then you can appreciate how good it actually was. You could probably count on one hand the amount of times Buffon has been beaten from that range in his professional career.

If Mellor and Pongolle haven't scored we wouldn't had been in the CL. FFS give credit to all the players that contributed that night, it wasn't just Gerrard that scored.

I would have voted for Garcia against Juve as well, it was all the better because up to then we were bossing Juve around the pitch, then that. :bowdown
