I had a brief conversation with John Barnes whilst on holiday in Menorca last year (apparently he has property there - didn't he play for Menorca at one time?)

I was a bit in awe and said "Jesus one of my heroes" (what a dick) but he was from the last great Liverpool team.

Afterwards my missus said "Wasn't his wife/girlfriend gorgeous"

"Dunno", I said "I didn't even see her because I only had eyes for John Barnes."

Jeez, I didn't even take my Ray Bans off but it made my holiday.

I saw him about 3-4 years ago in HMV, he had a bodyguard with him and Barnesy made the fella look tiny. He's a bull I wouldnt wanna fight him(or call him fat) haha.
