I think we including me have been a bit harsh and he is a good player but the injury thing means he cannot be relied upon. If he becomes fit and has a great season then bonus but when I think about the season ahead and the players who could shine then Kewell is not in my thoughts to be honest

Rafa rates him highly- the only reason he hasn't been shipped out, the boss has shown ruthlessness to so many players at the club and Kewell seems to be the one exception, Rafa must rate him something shocking

The problem is that no one would take a player like Harry on with his injury list and wage package.

Where is Harry ? I thought he was due back early September.
The only player to beat Rafa in the rotation game, he rotates himself out faster than Rafa can rotate him in.

Kewell is on the sicknote rotation scheme - thigh injury one week, ankle the next, knee the next, metatarsal the next, bone in his leg the next, clot the next...................

I was really hoping this season would be the one which Harry would prove everyone wrong, because on his day he's one of the best left wingers in the country, if not Europe. Sadly, this season is exactly like last and, unless he starts playing, i can't see him being here beyond this season.

Kewell, Cahill to return
By Tom Smithies
October 10, 2007 SOCCEROOS star Harry Kewell has some light at the end of the tunnel as he targets a return from a miserable run of injuries since playing for Australia at the Asian Cup.
Interestingly, Kewell could be in line to make his Liverpool comeback a week on Saturday in the Merseyside derby against Everton - the same match fellow Australian Tim Cahill has earmarked for his return in Everton's colours.
Neither of the men has played this season since returning to their clubs after the Asian Cup - Cahill after breaking a metatarsal in pre-season and Kewell with a thigh injury.
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is anxious to have Kewell available again following this weekend's international break, particularly as the Reds' form has stalled in in recent weeks.
He only returned to Liverpool's side at the end of last season after recovering from career-threatening injuries suffered at the World Cup, though he came on as a substitute in the Champions League final against AC Milan.
He played more than expected at the Asian Cup, scoring Australia's fourth against Thailand.
Good news about Kewell I was begining to think he might be injury prone.
