Hello all,
I'm YAWL and have supported Liverpool for many years.
I have had a look round the forum and had some replies to the odd topic. I'm very impressed and look forward to debating with you all in the future.
Regarding this season - I think the owners have been true to their word and backed Benitez. He can't say that he hasn't had enough backing this summer, with the new players and contracts for the existing ones. I think our squad is looking very strong full of top players. I think United and Chelsea are still favourites and personally I think they will be the top two. However you never know in this game, who thought United would win the league last season when they sold their top goalscorer in RVN and only bought Carrick?
A good start and we'll challenge. However I can't remember too many teams winning the league without having a challeneg the season before? Even Blackburn had to do this before they won the Premiership. Next season might be more realistic, but we should go into the season full of optimism.
Anyway, I'll shut up now.
