Damn, just heard that as well. Not good at all, it came too soon. Hopefully they'll give it to Giggs now.

think they have to wait until the US stock market closes (at 9pm UK time) before they can make it official...

Bit pointless sacking him with three games to go, I can only think they want to try Giggs for the last games to see how he does

Giggs will be caretaker, but they will probably get someone more experienced in for the long run. I can only assume they want to act now and stop any summer transfers being made. Moyes has wasted 60 odd million on two players, I doubt they want him spending anymore if he's not going to be around.

due to them not coming out and saying he is staying before the market was shut says a lot.

Hilarious.

The fact is that they want someone that can emulate the success of Whiskey nose within 2 minutes of being at the club.

The pressure that next season's manager will face will be tremendous, even if they bring in a well re-known one.

Gollum staying or leaving is a win, win for us.

press are talking about Van Gaal but is he the right manager, he is a bit of a mercenary and would only be there 1 or 2 seasons at the most and outside of Holland has managed teams like Barcelona and Bayern who were a the top end of their leagues anyway so would he get the time to turn them round, will he jump ship if its not going well or will they decend into changing manager every season trying to get it right. I can't see anyone just turning around man u over night, they need too many new players and there is no certainty they will attract the best without CL football, other teams will be more attractive.

Moyes is gone. Who comes next will have the weight of the world on their shoulders.

Hope their summer spending spree turns out like Spurs did. Flop city.
