But only when it's on   :D

Yeah, I know.....
I was only asking because they're filming Season 5 over here at the minute, and this will be my fourth year as an extra on the show. Long hair and a beard comes in handy for once.
It's a right good laugh, although it's hard not to feel a bit silly sometimes. But we're getting paid to dress up and play with all the weapons and armour and stuff and stand/sit about drinking coffee and smoking fags most of the day, and it is very interesting to see the amount of work and attention to detail that goes into the making of the show.
Actually, if I go out through the top of my garden and walk over a couple of fields I'm at the top of Magheramorne quarry, looking down at the Castle Black and King's Landing film sets.
I've got six days or nights coming up in November/December as a trooper in Stannis' army. Should be a good laugh, although it'll probably be bloody cold. Cos 'Winter is coming'...

Normally I don't watch tv however my sons are mad into 'Lost' and I bought them all 6 seasons whilst in Bangladesh last week for 12 quid!

Got to say it's ok. Nothing too heavy, not violent or sexy (ie suitable for kids) and a good, unpredictable story. Some nice chicks too.

I still hate tv though.

Been watching that Mad Men on the Sky Box set.

Seasons 1-5 really good after a slowish start but hanging in there with Season 6 seeing as only a
few more to go and a short Season 7.

Wouldn't say its a universal appeal but being an office guy I am compelled by the in house politics
and relationships in the show, plus the 60s/70s setting has its lure.

Yeah Woof it would be sad to see Justified go but as its going out on its own terms, I have high hopes for this season.

Especialy after the last one was bit of let down compared to previous years

Game of Thrones question:

I'm reading the books, but do I go past where we are in the tv series and will it ruin the show for me?

The books are fantastic, but a little creepy. I really think they got the ages right in the show, let's leave it at that!

Anyone else read the books, and did they carry on reading? I'm already a little ahead of the show and don't know whether to continue.

Read all of them Daws and I wouldn't say reading them all would spoil the TV show for you as at the end of the last book the story is still far from finished. Also (if memory serves) after the Red Wedding there's few actual surprises, just the story unfolding.
