ok but I was convinced that it just wasnt possible to pack in, but it was a hell of alot easier than i expected

A lot of people i know say that. One guy I worked with packed in by keeping a pack of ciggys in his pocket. Each time he wanted a smoke he would say to himself before I open this pack I will... then keep busy until the next craving. He kept that same pack of cigs for ages.

I wont pack in smoking for one simple reason, its one of the very few luxuries I will have in this lifetime. Oh, and beer...

I'm saving about £40 quid a week , so i decided to get that £40 a week taken out of my wages and put into the works credit union account . I know i can't afford to do both so i can't go back on the ciggies and there's the bulk of a decent holiday paid for for me and the family every year.

I've cut down to 20 a day unless I'm drinking... i wanna cut down, but not stop, will do one day

Tried quitting with the patches once but my heart wasn't really in it.

cut down from more than 20... I like smoking, love it. it tastes nice, its enjoyable... sorry people but smoking is nice.

I enjoy smoking as well, except for the price!  Not sure what the prices are across the pond but here in Ireland they're 8.60 Euro (7.40 pound) for a box of 20.  they got rid of all 10 and 15 boxes.
