Dead wrestlers - Old heroes now dead

I used to love WWF (or WWE as it is now) when I was a kid and after another wrestler died last week in his 30s, I thought of the guy (chris benoit)that killed all his family and himself a year or so ago and another (gurerro I think)who killed himself before that.

I went onto google and saw that many of my childhood heroes died (mostly about 40 years old), Mr Perfect Kurt Henning, Ravishing Rick Rude, The big boss man, Earthquake, Yokozuna, even the eyecandy Elizabeth and sensational sherry are both dead among many others.

Why doesn't Vince McMahon clear this up by banning steroids?

there is so much presure for them to look big and strong/rip

my lad likes to watch it, i try not to let him watch to much after i walked in and i found he had my then 3 year old upside down and was about to tomb stone her ( little sh*t  :D )

i remember watching the good old days of big daddy and giant haystacks most of the people who are on there now are just pumped wind bags

on a lighter note the woman on there are looking fine  :bowdown  :nod

Hadn't thought of Miss Elizabeth in years, so no clue she'd died.  She could set a young lad's err...heart a-fluttering. :D

I remember that. Very sad day.

I still cannot believe the way Chris Benoit died. Poor family.

they are all fecked up in the head and still amazes that some people class it as a sport and why so many americans love it when its just a stage show

With what they are taking it's probably destabalising them mentally. I don't think they are governed by any anti doping laws so who knows what they are injecting.

I stopped watching this around the time Brock Lesnar left for the NFL. I got into MMA so after that I could never really watch wrestling with a straight face.

Good stuntmen, I'll give them that.

okay- the results are scripted but there is no way to fake lifting a big man over your head and throwing him, they are mightly athletic and get very little rest.

I have total respect for their athletic skills but if they didn't do  these drugs and weren't quite as strong or muscular, the entertainment would be no worse.

remember Jake  the snake roberts, and the honkey tonk man? no muscles but great wrestlers because they had great personas and could build up suspense in a bout.

I used to love watching the WWF (as it was back then), I stopped watching shortly after the WWF v WCW charade. It just got really tedious from then on. Dead wrestlers, loved watching the British Bulldog. His match in england against Bret Hart was probably his finest match ever. Also liked watching Andre the Giant, when I first saw him I couldnt believe anyone could be that huge !

Another one who is rarely mentioned, Crash Holly. At times him and Hardcore Holly had some great matches and some funny sketches.
