Thing is, these laws are not new. They have been around for a long long time. doesn't make them right, but once in place the syariah judges are obligated to enforce them. Its disgraceful, but IMO pressure need be applied when these arcaihic(sp?) laws are allowed to be included in judicial systems. Not when one particular case is highlighted.

Having said that, i was as shocked as the topic starter, but not suprised.
