Can't really see past the All Blacks for this, much as I want England to win it..... Can anyone tell me why Scotland and Wales get to play their biggest games in their own stadiums? The Jocks are playing the All Blacks at Murrayfield and Wales are playing Australia at the Millennium..... So it's not the World Cup in France, it's the World Cup where we take pity on some teams and let 'em play in their own backyard......! England don't get to play South Africa at Twickenham after all?

Think the french who are the "hosts" for the world cup vetoed any games being played in England.

They didn't have enough stadiums to hold all the games so they allowed some to be staged in Wales and Scotland but refused Englands offer , surprise surprise.

I can't say anything about that cos unfortunatley it's true! :D

99 was the best example, 2003 we got outplayed by a good Australia side and 1995 all our boys got food poisoning 2 days before the final against South Africa in South Africa (how convenient).

We really have to win in this time, we are by far the best side in the World. If the World cup was in a league format (ala the premiership) then we would win it every time but unfortunately we have tended to bottle it recently.

France will go close and Australia will definitley turn up, despite soem inconsistent form this season. I really can't see South Africa doing much (they always fail in Europe) and England shouldn't be written off either (impressive result against Wales a few weeks ago).  Ireland could push for a semi-final spot too.

New Zealand v France final for me.

No it was Australia and they lost by 40 points due to sheer All Black aggression and domination. :D

Silly kunts, no one has ver made the same mistake. The All Blacks take immense pride in it.

Who would you rather win in the opening game, the French or the Argies ?  :glare:

I suppose from our own point it would be the Argies as the French look dangerous, but generally I'm not keen on either of them. Mascha apart :D

Here's hoping Romania do well....that they get huge support over there in France, especially from all those beggars - who hopefully will travel from Dublin on the underside of trucks, or whatever way they usually get from country to country - and stop selling The Big Issues outside Tesco, or at traffic lights
