Twisted/sprainded ankle - Suggestions please

Folks,  I've twisted/sprained my ankle quite badly, in a lot pain and am now using crutches. Luckily X-rays show that nothing is broken.

Anyway, apart from the usual rest one should take to aid recovery.

What other alternatives including medicines, creams, herbal stuff (no not that kind) etc can you recommend or have tried for this sort of injury.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

ice for first 72 hours, heat packs in days afterwards. Helps reduce the bruising, swelling and subsequent pain.

Nothing you can do,just give it time to heal.Don't be using the crutches too much and take them back to the hospital when you've finished with them.

Try using knitbone (comfrey) its great for sprains and bruising. Don't use it if there is a cut or bad abrasion as its poisonous. Otherwise plaster as much on as you can and then bandage your ankle. Great when soaking your ankle as well, just add some to the water.

Knitbone

Scientific Name: Comfrey
Other Names: A$$ Ear, Black Root, Blackwort, Bruisewort, Common Comfrey, Consolidae Radix, Consound, Gum Plant, Healing Herb, Knitback, Salsify, Slippery Root, Symphytum Radix, Symphytum officinale, Wallwort

Highly recommend it.

Amputate the f'ucker , you've got another one attached to your other leg . I fail to see the problem .

After amputation a small amount of knitbone (comfrey) applied to the stump will help.  :D

my suggestion would be to get on your crutches, go outside and head to the nearest english class and learn how to spell sprained

sprainded   :D

Keep the fecking thing moving as much as you can, otherwise it'll never be right.
