Caught a neat Japanese made war movie last night. Battle of the Pacific (aka Oba, the Last Samurai). Tells the true story of how after the fall of Saipan Captain Oba and his men plus 200 civilians fled into the mountainous jungle on Saipan and carried on fighting for another 18 months . They were still fighting 4 months after the war had officially ended !

Did a quick search on Wiki and found that the film faithfully recreates their story. Worth a watch if you're into war movies and some military history

Holidaying in the states at the moment and watched sin city 2 which for me wasn't worth wait as it's nowhere near as good as first one. Though Eva green being naked in most of her scenes did help its cause :D

Off to see new Denzil movie "the equaliser " on the weekend

Inbetweeners 2 - as I liked the TV series and the first movie was funny. 2nd wasn't anywhere near as good.

watched Lucy with the lovely scarlett johannson Image
good special effects and action scenes. worth a watch but thought it was very short, like it was rushed to an ending.
be careful though  :nod  she is everywhere.

edge of tomorrow is another that i watched.
well worth a look as its quite decent and the better of the two movies. wouldnt be a fan of cruise but this is a good piece of work.

Watched Children of Men on Sky recently. What a depressing film! Very good though.

Watched the lovely Ms. johannson in Under the skin. An every time I was about to turn off this brain numbing slow paced scifi cult movie, she would get her kit off.
As I watched closing credits I thought "Well played Scarlett well played"
