Probably one of the reasons I don't visit this thread as much as I used to, the forums generation divide is at it's starkest in this thread

"Snazzy music" to some and the sound of sh'it being strained through a sock to me.

Sorry mate, nothing new, zero invention.
I think my lad was listening to shyte like this over 15 years ago, thankfully we eventually persuaded him to move out.

Ah, I can see the beauty in all music personally. Sorry, but what you said sounds like what my dad would say. His dad too  :D

For me X-Fusion is about so much more than the sound. It's the beat, the feel, the mood. As for zero invention, well...can't agree with that. I think maybe you just don't understand it. That's cool.

And the generation gap? I was brought up on Paul Simon, Dylan, Donovan, John Denver, a whole host of "oldies". I don't consider 'em old personally. Good music is timeless.

Check some of the others I posted earlier maybe. Some nicer stuff there.

Love the sound of latin music. Always gets me shaking a boot or two. First heard these a few years back, but forgot about them until the other day, heard them on the radio.

Don't mind me mate, I'm one of those Grumpy c'unts who think they stopped making good music circa 1979, me and your old man probably share the same record collection.   :D

Watch the Throne is just okay. There are about 4 very good songs on it but the rest IMO are just album fillers which is a shame really as there was a lot of hype about it

Thanks for your opinion DD, I've heard more people say somewhat along those lines. Anyways I've just ordered the thing myself (yes, I still buy those shiny things called CDs  :D) and now look forward to forming my own opinion about it.

My dad and I share the same record collection too actually. I absorbed a lot of it. Some I simply can't get on board with though like Foster and Allen. Painful.
