I used to work in the gambling industry, same as you dawson.

I worked in a call centre, same as yourself I take it?  Right up until July just gone in fact.  So I still have the nightmares.   :D

At first I thought "Its not a bad job, watch sports all day, football all night."  Then the reality hits you.

It's f****d up and soul destroying.  Seriously, it really affected me.  I hated it with a passion.  I used to have a small bet but now I stay well clear, I've seen people lose £30,000 on a greyhound.

I seen one person put £500,000 on Ronnie O'Sullivan at 1/7 to beat some guy in the first round of a snooker tournament.  Admittedly, he won.

Say it to yourself.  Half a million pounds.

When things like that occur, you start thinking about what could be done with £500,000, and here I was stuck in a shitty job in a shitty industry, and I hated everything about it.  I could go on all day about this, but I'm not going to for the sake of my sanity, letting out demons I have long locked away.

I now have a job I absolutely love doing, and I don't like to think about betting and everything that comes with it.

Gambling's not for me, personally.

Rant over.
