What an absolute embarrassment not just to Chelsea, but to football and to England as a country. As a proud Englishman and a lover of the game, I feel deeply embarassed by what has gone on here.

This Norwegian fella who is married with two kids, was spirited out of the country under police escort, and as his address was posted up on a website somewhere he hasn't been seen or heard in his neighbourhood, he's been advised to lie low. What a fecking diabolical carry on. This is a game of football, forget what Shanks said, it's a game of football and if he made a couple of mistakes, ultimately, really, so the feck what?

Be disappointed by all means, throw your toys out of the pram for sure, but conspiracy theories? Feck off. What if Inniesta's shot goes over the bar, what then? Do they play on for another 90 minutes so Barcelona can have another shot? Does anybody with an ounce of intellgence think that this man (the ref) was/is dishonest, that he is on a "bung"?

The scenes at the time were bad enough, but it drags on. It's nothing short of a disgrace, and I'll tell you this, if I were UEFA (who are a fecking joke to be quite honest) I wouldn't be reassuring anyone that this ref won't get games at this level again. I'd ban Chelsea from Europe for two seasons, ban whichever players were involved for two years regardless of who they are playing for.

It's time to stop this sh!t. You've got the absolutely excellent Ray Winstone adverts about respect, then you've got some fecking idiot who spends three quarters of every match hurling himself to the turf writhing about in agony, sprinting onto the pitch in flip flops after the game has finished to tell us all it's a fecking disgrace. He's right, it is. The fecking disgrace is c...s like him should have been brought to book a long time ago.

I've no doubt he won't be reading any football forums, but perhaps Heimdall could pass it on as he probably knows the blokes uncle or something (it's like that over here and there's a similar population).

Heimdall pass it on for me mate, I apologise on the behalf of English people and English football supporters. I apologise on behalf of every fan of a premier league team. To the ref (sorry mate can't remember your name right now), I say sorry for all the sh!t. Tell the truth mate, I think you porobably made a couple of mistakes, but we've all made them. Don't make another by letting this bunch of c...s ruin your life.

Good post.

Anyhow I don't think the English gentlement should feel too much embarrassment for a few fans and a few mindless journos.

Image

What are doing all these journos in the ref's village in Norway? ??? . As always what could have been the frustation of a few fans (death threats included I know) it's done worse by the media.

The English fans have a lot to be proud of with their football and a mad Drogba, a few anonymous :censored: and some fueling articles do not represent the English football as a whole.

Spanish press reminds that Anders Firsk had to left football because threats of Chelsea fans, and UEFA wasn't happy about it. Chelsea may have indeed reasons to worry about if they go too far, but it seems they have tried to chill things down through their website.

I don't know how that diving, cheating b*stard has the gall to complain about refereeing decisions when he spends his entire, forgettable career trying to con the men in black.

I tell you what, if S*tski don't get a f*cking ban from the competition, and Drogba kicked out for life, then UEFA want bombing.

The deluded horse's infected foreskin gunge.

They'll probably try and ban us as well - they seem to be under the impression that we're joined at the hip...

Ironically had Drogba not spent so much time diving there may not have been 4 mins of added time which led to the goal.

As for the Ref I mentioned this yersterday also but people are quick to forget a similar situation occured last time Cheslea got knocked out by Barca and Anders Frisk was in charge. He recieved death threats then too.

UEFA CONDEMN CHELSEA
Posted 08/05/09 07:54

UEFA's general secretary has condemned Chelsea's behaviour during and after the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona, as they await their punishment.
UEFA will investigate the behaviour of Didier Drogba - who has since apologised - as well as Michael Ballack, comments made by Jose Bosingwa (since 'retracted') and John Terry, and a charge for the club also looks likely.
The governing body are awaiting the match reports from Norwegian referee Tom Henning Ovrebo before they take any action, but UEFA general secretary David Taylor was highly critical of Chelsea's behaviour.

"When we get to the top level we expect better in terms of players' behaviour" he said.
"Refereeing is an extremely difficult job. All I would ask is a bit more respect is shown towards officials. Notwithstanding the high emotions, high drama, high stakes involved, these guys are out there in the middle having to make decisions just like that, on the spot.

"I spoke to Peter Kenyon at the end of the match and he fully accepts there are no conspiracies at all. Of course there are questions from time to time about refereeing standards, but that's looked at continually in terms of performances. That's what we do as a responsible organisation."

Further addressing the question of a 'conspiracy', Taylor said:

"If anything it's a media conspiracy against UEFA. It does make me angry. It really annoys me because it's a load of rubbish."

Drogba apologised for his actions in a statement on the Chelsea website on Thursday evening. He said:

"I was very upset at what happened during the game, but having seen the pictures on TV I accept that I overreacted.

"I also accept that the language I used did not set a good example for those watching at home, especially children.

"I regret that in the heat of the moment I let out my incredible frustration and disappointment in this way, and for that I apologise."

The club also released a statement, blaming their players' actions on 'emotion' and 'frustration'.

The statement read: 'Chelsea welcomes Didier's statement today which was made honestly and after reflection.

'We are all acutely aware of the responsibilities that lie with both the club and its players towards setting a good example as role models.

'While it is clear that some of the events last night were regrettable, they occurred only because of the high emotions and frustrations which arose from the disappointment of a controversial defeat in such an important game.

'We made representations to UEFA immediately after the game and we await their comments following a review of the match officials' report.'

I doubt they will get banned. Maybe a few players will get a 3 match ban.

I cant for the life of me understand why Drogba made a big deal after the match anyway. If he had not have been diving at every chance he got, then the ref would not have added the 4 mins of extra time. THB I think Chealsea should be banned from Europe for 2 seasons and the players who where giving the ref abuse should be banned also ie Drogba, Terry Ballack and Lampard. Drogba more so because of the language he used on live tv.
