yeh but looked like a shade of his former self when he was playing in the world cup 2002 he looked embrassing against england to be honest. Plus he missed a pen against sweden to knock aregtina out of the world cup but great player i hearded batistua might join barcelona.Good move for him on the finacially side but not sure how much he can help them in the playing side but good luck to him if he joins them :)

Batistuta was absolutely superb for Fiorentina.

I heard that he may sign for Barcelona for the rest of the season to replace Larsson.

England have got a slightly better chance to win the WC than Scotland. Sorry, like it or not, you simply aint good or consistent enuff. I dont recall England playin two good halves in any match in years. Which may be one good half more than the Scots but thats a different matter!! Mind, if we can raise our game and scrape the victory aginst the Dutch we did last year, maybe theres hope for u.

Sven has hinted that Downing will be in the squad for the match against the Dutch.

Well thank god for that, finally England have a half decent left sided midfielder, it was starting to get embarassing.
