In light of bad refereeing decisions made in the England v Portugal game and particularly the decision to deny us the goal which was given by the linesman but denied by the referee.

What are your thoughts regarding situations like this where there is a split decision, should the referee's decision be final?

I feel that in such important competitions like the World Cup and Euro where whole nations are behind their countries team, there should a means of review/appeal at the time during the match. These games are covered from every angle by cameras and it would be so simple to review video tape there and then by officials off the pitch who could determine the outcome based on the facts.

I think the game needs this to restore peoples faith in fair play what do you think?

bitching about referee decisions is half the fun in the game. who would managers blame if every decision was correct?

I can only see it working with specific decisions like a disallowed goal etc but how far back do you go??

Rugby has it and it works but its because of the nature of the game but in Rugby referees dont make decisions any more plus replays go to the crowd and you get some heated debates which would probably be best avoided in football stadiums.

If it came in without specific rules you would have players demanding camera replays for fouls etc the offside game would be chaotic you might as well ignore the linesman flag as it'll go to camera

I reckon extra training for refs yes and clearer rules but the eye in the sky just would not suit football due to the nature of the game.
