Still early days, but these are the results he'll be judged on by the fans.

To be fair he was never going to turn the situation around up there in 5 minutes, Rangers are a work in progress.

Their loony fans won't see it that way....

Rangers fans aren't soft, over the past few years they have seen their club go to wall and start off again in the fourth tier of Scottish football, they more than anyone know how big the gap is that needs to be bridged.

Unlucky SG first big test and they almost got a draw even though Celtic could easily have won 3 or 4 nil.

Maybe. I have a low view of Scottish football in general, given its hate-filled religious bile that their fans use against each other.  I had a look at their fans' site and their fans are already demanding explanations from Gerrard for being 'embarrassed' by their rivals. And it's just his first defeat...

You are going to get that from any fan base immediately after a loss to their biggest rival, you want to read some of the posts on here after we get beat by United or Everton. Incidentally I have a huge respect for Scottish football, football wouldn't be the game it is nowadays without the input of Scottish players and officials.

Moaning c.unts, in reality Rangers should be in the Sainsbury's fecking pet food aisle league, Stevie's given them hope and making them look good and they turn round and complain. Typical jocks...... they'll want a referendum on Gerrard next.

Apparently this is Rangers worst start in the league for 28 years, I thought he was doing quite well!

Hmmmm i guess that must be just for league form. Played 4 won 1 draw 2 lost 1.
Convert one of the draw into a win and the fans would be kissing SG backside.

If you count SG doing well in Europe it isn't a bad start.

I still think SG will finish 2nd with Rangers.

TBF he did a an excellent job navigating through the Europa League qualifiers which will have had an affect on their league form. Rangers fans were singing his praises on Friday and lauding him as their savior warning Celtic to look over their shoulders. What a difference 48 hours makes in football!

The one big positive though is that it's Hearts and not Celtic who are 5 points clear at the top, Rangers are actually a point ahead of Celtic.
