Germany were woeful. Didn't even look like scoring until Brandt came on- would love for us to put in for him. How good did Mertens look for Belgium? I know he's 31, but he plays like he's 25 with his speed and style. He'd be pricey for his age, but that'd be a great signing. Getting either one of them could allow some rest for Mo and Mane, or could even allow us to move Mo into the middle.

No team standing out yet. Belgium looked solid. England should be up by 5 at half time, but have missed the simplest of sitters a handful of times. A lot of teams figuring out how to play against the big boys, which should make for an interesting world cup.

Yup but the pundits will w*nk over them after that world class 2-1 victory over the mighty Tunisia.

Tunisia deserved a draw imo.

Papers over the cracks, nothing more.

England need to sort their sh!te out otherwise they'll get smacked by one of the big boys.

Sterling is horse shyte can't shoot to save his life.

The 3 points are very crucial for them. They can get 1 against Belgium and 3 vs Panama will be more then enough.

I thought England played okay myself, especially first half, granted they weren't up against much but as England performances go that was one of the more exciting ones, agree about Sterling though, infact both Lingard and Sterling couldn't hit a cows @rse with a banjo.

I thought England did alright especially as all seeing VAR cameras cant seem to pick up Tunisian rugby tackles

Thought they played well in first half but agree with others regarding Sterling, cant score and loses the ball far too easily. Walker is always an accident waiting to happen

Egypt are all but out.

Feel sorry for Salah, he's clearly not fit and shouldn't be there. But given that this might be his only chance, I understand why he's playing.

If Uruguay get at least a point tomorrow against the Saudi's Egypt are out. If that's the case then I hope Mo sits out the last game, as you say he's clearly not fit and if he takes a bad tumble he could easily do some serious damage to that shoulder.
Bryan Robson was beset by shoulder injuries for a lot of his career, they sound innocuous but they are not, footballers spend a lot of time falling to the floor, often when running at high speed, if they have dodgy shoulders it can ruin their career.
Mo needs to make sure his current injury is 100% healed before he plays again.
