Was chatting to a mate who's a Celtic fan and he said their defence has gone to Sh!te since BROD took over.

Last night was one of Celtics worst ever in its history of European football (think they once lost 8-0, which is the worst) and they could have easily have conceded more.

They'll give him time there, but feck me, Brendan needs to stop talking Sh!te. Last night he said his players "had been brilliant"

Hahahahahahahaha.

And he has the gall to come out saying there "is no embarrassment in the result"

How much more evidence do you need that a packet of crisps can do a better job than this pathetic excuse of a Con artist pretending to be a football manager?!?

To all the muppets that kept defending him when he was here, hang your heads in shame.

Oh come on Eds it's hardly a level playing field is it? Barcelona can afford to go out and spend £70m+ on a 27 year old like Suarez where as the most Celtic have ever spent on a player was £6m on John Hartson and that was back around the turn of the millennium.
Even championship clubs like Newcastle spend far more than Celtic do, seriously mate what do you expect?

Yak-Yak are you seriously defending Celtic's worst ever defeat in the CL?  :upside:  :help

Since you brought up turn of the century, here are their results against Barcelona since then:

2013/2014 - Wed 11 Dec Barcelona 6 - 1 Celtic Champions League
Tue 01 Oct Celtic 0 - 1 Barcelona Champions League
2012/2013    Wed 07 Nov Celtic 2 - 1 Barcelona Champions League
Tue 23 Oct Barcelona 2 - 1 Celtic Champions League
2007/2008    Tue 04 Mar Barcelona 1 - 0 Celtic Champions League
Wed 20 Feb Celtic 2 - 3 Barcelona Champions League
2004/2005    Wed 24 Nov Barcelona 1 - 1 Celtic Champions League
Tue 14 Sep Celtic 1 - 3 Barcelona Champions League
2003/2004    Thu 25 Mar Barcelona 0 - 0 Celtic UEFA Cup
Thu 11 Mar Celtic 1 - 0 Barcelona UEFA Cup

All admirable results except for that result in the 13/14 season.

I don't know about you but Rodgers 7-0 drubbing looks damning irrespective of the budgets excuse you are flaffing on about.

We are doing our best to wash off that snake oil he peddled you, but you aren't helping mate........

Last season this Barca team put 8 past Deportivo, 7 past Valencia, 6 past the likes of Athletic Bilbao, Celta Vigo, Getafe and Sporting Gijon, 5 past the likes of Espanyol and Rayo Vallecano (X 2) and even put 4 past Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.
This Barcelona team can hammer anyone, especially on their own patch.

When do Celtic play Man City? A 4 or 5 -0 drubbing there will put a bit of heat on BR. However, as long as he wins the title in the Scottish Butlins league, he'll be okay.

Am I in the minority of people who still likes Brendan?

I don't think it's a big deal getting hammered off Barca. the 3 best players in the world will tear anyone apart on their day nevermind a team from the Scottish league

I supported him whilst at Anfield but to be honest... I wouldn't be surprised if we never see him again. He's mid table standard. Palace.

I bear him no ill well but he is the past and unlike say Rafa not really one that much interest in post LFC career

Not sure whether some of this intense dislike is more to do with the " attention seeking I'm the biggest man on an Internet forum " syndrome or not

Brendan did really well tonight against a City side that's been brushing everyone aside in the prem.

In a league that's got at most 2 teams in it ? Mate, anyone in this forum could've probably led Celtic to the trophy !

Rodgers has been lucky enough to manage Liverpool and Celtic and he definitely follows his heart so you got to credit him for that. Also he doesn't get the credit for going so close with us, and I just think its been too painful to talk about his tenure here following that collapse and how it affected the club thereafter.

I honestly think hes at the top end of his trade and Celtic will be very lucky to hold on to him, if I was a Premiership Chairman looking to make a change then he would top my list, and though he clearly loves Celtic a chance to come back into the Prem would be hard to turn down.
