Shame on that, especially on the coward attitude from Navarro....but, yes, as Rimetto has said...Italians have to learn how to lose anytime...will it be possible?

UEFA ruling as follows:
Valencia
David Navarro - 7 month European ban
Carlos Marchena - banned for 4 games
Inter
Nicolas Burdisso - banned for 6 games
Maicon - banned for 6 games
Ivan Cordoba - banned for 3 games
Julio Cruz - banned for 2 games
Both clubs have also been fined about £106,000 by Uefa

How long did Thatcher get for his Hulk Hogan style forearm smash on Pedro Mendes ?
10 games i would of give him (Navarro)

funny thing is he could be back playing in euope nearly the same time as a 10 match ban anyway
remember the ban is only for europe, and a 10 match ban would see him miss the 2 chelsea games anyway.
so a 7 month ban from the time of the game would be over at the start of October - i'e missing all of 2 european games in september.
He'll miss 4 games in total if chelsea beat Valencia or 6 games if valencia beat chelsea before they lose to us!

I wonder had Scholes connected with Xabi with his "air-punch" and broke his nose, whether a 7 month ban would have been applied. Somehow I doubt it.
Punishments in football are a f*cking joke - no consistency whatsoever.

i doubt it to st mick but as i said above - 7 months may sound long but in reality its only a 4 game or 6 game ban - at the maximum he'd miss 7 games and thats if valencia get to the final.

So its only a european ban ?
If thats so your saying that Burdisso and Maicon have longer bans as they have to miss 6 actual games ?

well thats how i understood it because all the news sites were saying it was a "seven-month European ban"
so i took it as european ban rather than all football at club level ban.
But now i understand thats not the case and it is a complete ban.
(got that one wrong)

So now do you think it warranted a seven month ban ?
I think its OTT, although the scenes were ugly, seven months will take him until Oct 07 thats ridiculous imo.
10 games would of been severe enough.
