What are england's chances? - How will we go at euro 2004
Posted: Fri Feb 20, 2004 3:21 pmI'm completely fed up of talking bout Liverpool - It depresses me almost as much as the football we play! The summer is drawing closer and it's good to know that when this awful season comes to a close there is some international football to look forward to.
I think we stand a decent chance at these championships even though France will be the obvious favourites. If everyone is fit then i can see us getting to the semis and maybe beyond if the team has the belief. Gerrard and Beckham have really blossomed, we all know wot Mikey can do and Rooney looks great in an England shirt even if his form for Everton is a bit dodgy.
There are a few worries - James in goal (bit shakey - still) Ferdinand willbe difficult to replace despite the quality around at CB + as always we could use a player with a left foot.
Still, Erickson seems to be a very lucky manager. How do you guys rate our chances?
