The Mexican number 3 Carlos Salcido looked to me to be the most accomplished defending footballer I've seen for a very long time. He plays for Guadalajara apparently, but I doubt I am the only person to have spotted his displays(mind you, the commentators barely gave him a mention) and a big European club will no doubt acquire his services soon.
