Posted: Mon Jun 05, 2006 12:00 pmI thought the scoreline flattered the Aussies tbh. We didn't get it together enough to be able to create mush pressure and frankly the Dutch took it all in their stride. Maybe a bit overawed on more than one front.
It wasn't until Wiltshire was sent off & Aliosi & Thompson came on that we were able to cause some headaches.
This game also confirmed for me how deeply I despise Robben. Skilled or not...the bast@rd is a 'cheat'.
Note to Guus: PLEASE don't let Viduka take another penalty, not even in a shootout.
Despite all this, I think we can beat Japan and either defeat Croatia or at worst, hold them to a draw. We CAN qualify. I think we're going to get a footballing lesson from Brasil though!!
