And they talk about joining the Premiership???

Yeah right.

The Old Firm are more Championship level.

The rest of the Scottish teams are absolutely sh*te as is Scottish football in general.

A 4-4 draw in the end!

Bloody hell, what's going on up there at Celtic under Strachan?

I bet Gordon must have been crapping his little underpants after Motherwell went 4-3 up....

What a way for Strachan to start off at the club....

It was a truly terrible humiliating result for them in midweek against the Slovakians. It was the worst European result in Celtic's history. (Their previous worst defeat in Europe was losing 5-1 to Neuchatel Xamax in Switzerland in the 1991/92 UEFA Cup.)

Leaking nine goals in two games against Artmedia and Motherwell indicates that something has gone badly wrong with both the defence and Strachan's tactics.

It might not be long before the Celtic fans call for him to go.

After all, Steve Claridge was sacked at Millwall before they even played one game!

I do quite like Gordon though. He's got a good sense of humour and gives some interesting interviews, instead of the usual tripe given out by a lot of bosses.

Celtic were the first British club of course to win the European Cup in 1967. But they've got a mountain to climb now to stay in the competition. I can't see them getting five goals back and not conceding at the other end. It would be a miracle if they could recover from that 1st leg.

Gordon 'Braveheart' will have to conjure up something miraculous....

Strachan is a good manager, Southampton were a good quality mid-table side before he left, even pushing for UEFA Cup qualification. They have pretty much fallen to pieces since he left, resulting in their relegation at the end of last season.
