Robson would be a vital factor in any deal.Staunton just doesnt have the experience to cut it on his own.

Nah, cannot see Robson staying long.
Staunton is his own man, Robson will eventually be chucked.

Christ lads, give the manager a chance.
Beckenbaur had no experience and got germany to 86 final and won in 90.
I don't want Bobby Robson there as the manager should have total say and Staunton doesn't know him.
How about a bit of support?

im not a republic of ireland fan sorry, but i really hope staunton does well as he is the living legend of ireland now. i liked them when mcateer was there tho so im not a complete hater of the team
