Having watched this i have to admit, despite previous posts that we have a hell of a gem here. The goals are a good mix of power, long range, tap ins and headers.

All round player here....

Well worh the fee on this evidence.

i was wrong.

Get in!!

And what about when he fecks off to south america for a month or so on international duty, eh ? Who have we left to fill his boots - Eggnog ? Not Torres by the looks of it. IMO, signing a south american is a stoopid idea. Masch couldn't settle; Tevez neither; Forlan was a flop.....why are we shooting ourselves in the foot with this signing ??

His armband proved he was a red, Suarez, Suarez
You'll never walk alone it said Suarez, Suarez
He brought the band from a lad in Spain
With tall blonde hair forgot his name
Luis Suarez, Liverpool's number nine.

Welcome to the best club in the world lad :buttrock

I'm not so sure he can fill the role of a single striker like Torres could. I think we need to get a partner for him asap if torres leaves.

I don't see the big problem, Torres was MIA last season due to injuries and his form this season hasn't been THAT great.  Long as Luis can net us a good 15-20 goals a season he will be a succes imo.  For me he's not a pure goal scorer like Torres was, he's more in the mould of a Tevez or something.  Credit to Tevez though he's been really good since moving to Man City but he does a lot more than score goals and I can see the same from Suarez.  For me he doesn't have to do too much to replace the lackluster Torres we've seen for the past two seasons so I don't think it will be all that hard for him to have a very positive impact on the team.

yeah suarez is not an out and out striker, he's a lot more than that. i see him more as a traditional number 10.

Great signing IMO. He is a big name proven goalscorer and just what we needed to partner Torres.
Then Torres does the unthinkable!!
Suarez will do just as good a job as Torres has done this season as a lone striker, But I was dreaming of having 2 good strikers working together for the club.
