Looks to me like it could be a straight fight this season between Barca and Real Madrid. Both teams look sensational going forward yet there is still that bit of a soft centre at the back. Barca's was expoed only the once last night after Valdes made his usual weekly balls up. However the bright side for Barca is that they still have Puyol to come back from injury and the recently signed Milito wasn't in the starting line up. Madrid on the other hand didn't concede last night but that was mostly down to a lack of poor finishing from Villareal, they certainly had the chances to make more of a game of it.

All in all it looks like being another exciting la liga season lets just hope the frickin TV companies can sort it out so we don't miss the action.

I would have said there was going to be no tickets on sale TBH. Lucky you, it seems this year clash is going to be..."exciting" uh?

This year, Schuster will win the La Liga title, the Spanish cup, and the Champions League.

And will be fired because he didn't wear a nice tie, or some other BS reason that Real Madrid can think of.

I really hope your first point will happen...as for the second one, it wouldn't be too strange taking into account the Real style for these matters. Anyway, although delighted with last Sunday performance, I am still carfeul about that kind of predictions cos it's only two matches and nobody knows how the season will be like.

I think it will take some going to beat last seasons clash at the Camp Nou. Almost landed 3 rows down when Messi got his 3rd  :bowdown

The timing of the game sucks abit too.

Will be there at the end of the month for the Camp Nou's 50th Anniversary match against Sevilla.

One thing I've noticed watching La Luga is that the spanish referees are very card happy aren't they.

Lots of players sent off for next to nothing tackles and 2nd yellow cards.

I wouldn't say it was any worse than the Premiership. I'd actually like to see more cards for simulation shown.

What seems a joke is the reason that some refs take as justification to show cards, I mean, dirty tackles or simulations should be hardly punished but you can't spoil a match leaving a team with just 10 players just for taking your T-shirt off when celebrating a goal or being "rude" to the ref.

Anyway, I would love seeing punishment for refs in Spain as it happens in EPL. The referee on the match against Chelski was awful, and the decision of the penalty was ridiculous but his apologies to the club and the punishment he received look  like sth impossible to see here, referees here feel free to take the decision they want as they always go unpunished.

Quite unbelievable the Vicente case. He's slagged off the Valencia medical staff, as those wrote in a somewhat vague medical report tha the injury in the muscle of Vicente was psychological, as they find no evidence of injury.

Vicente insists that he felt a lot of pain in the hamstring muscle after his game against Elfsborg, but the doctors insist they cannot see anything.

Vicente has said he's going to look for a solution outside the Valencia doctors. Now the club has fined Vicente for criticising the doctors. Weird.

I trust the player when he says he has pain, not every pain can be spotted in medicine, and perhaps vicente overreacted to the vague words of the medical report. Hope he recovers, he's a quality winger, despite right now Silva has won the place in the team.

Shame. He's a smashing player - when fit. (where have we heard that before from a left-sided player).

He has done well to provoke this rebellion, because he's gone to the most regarded specialist in Spain and this doctor has given him all the reason and changed the treatment.

A second opinion is a must in many cases. Hope the club removes the sanction now as the player was right and even accused of having a psichological problem.  :no

Barca finally get it going with a win over Sevilla, 2-1.

Real have a :censored: easy game against Valladolid
