they were a big side years ago when kevin keegan left us to go to them. i remember us tonkin them 6-0 at anfield in the super cup, it was keegans first match back at anfield and he got a bit of stick from the anfield crowd. he hadnt long left and i was standing on the kop f@cking gutted that my hero was getting stick.

We've missed the opportunity :( I think that if we'd move sooner we could snatch him at a good price.
He'd choose L'pool over HSV anyday. :(

One missed, still plenty talent out there waiting to play at Anfield. :D

Wow, superb signing for Hsv. he's a over-quality player but his performance on the pitch??...

Yer we were linked with him. If he stayed at ajax he would have champions league football and winners medals from holland but no offence but what is he going to win with hamburg.

I wouldn't necessarily write off Hamburg.

They're a big German club from a big German city who had a great spell in the end of the 1970s and the start of the 1980s when they were one of the great European clubs.

Since then they have fallen on harder times, but they have been active in the transfer market and I reckon they'll sign more big name players this season.
