If what is going on in Ukraine is the real motivation behind this then it's laughable that Newcastle are able to exist considering what the Saudis are doing. Why aren't they facing the same trouble ?. Until they are this whole situation is nothing but a joke and the bandwagoners equally as funny with their skewed morals and their new found hatred of everything Russian.

Abramovich bought the club for 190millon, is why he was able to pay 100 million per year for 20 years. If a buyer pays 2-3 billion for a business that loses 100million per year it becomes a different story. Like the hare in Snatch, they are proper f.ucked

It was 140 million which would have been the going rate at the time. 4 years later H&G acquired us for 220 and then look at what our current owners paid in 2010. Now look at what we are worth and take into account how much they put in.

I agree they are totally fooked especially when you look at who is going to buy them and the debt they will place on the club as a result.

Wrong way round Reg. It was Bates who bought it for a pound back in the early eighties. Abramovic paid 140 million.
