Think he was released by his former club Mags and at 34 probably didn't have too many offers from other clubs in the top flight ?

I hoped Real would come to Anfield and dressed their gladiators in pink, because they surely played like a freakin' pussy last night

It's ridiculous that the prem has to stop for a fortnight for international fixtures, the World Cup only ended a few weeks ago.
England games are like watching paint dry

These international managers seem very reluctant to rest our players
. Most of our guys played the full 90 in the friendlies and I expect the same for the qualifiers.
Anyway, some of our lads did pretty well. Can and Coutinho have already been mentioned in their threads, Manquillo played his first game for the u21s while Sakho got man of the match for the game against Spain. Sakho and Markovic will play in a friendly against each other tomorrow.

It will be interesting to see how United get on tomorrow, it's just a pity they are playing at home against no hopers like QPR.
How funny would it be though if their big stars stink the place out again
Fingers crossed, here's hoping!

Chelsea 2-1up against Swansea, two goals for Costa, however, he maybe should have been sent off in the first half for swinging a punch at sigurdson

Chelsea with Costa's hattrick is looking strong. Even Remy scored but yes Costa should be sent off. City and Arsenal will be up there. We'll need to keep pace and cut out all the dropped points against lower oppositions. It's early days, keep the faith...

good result for arsenal and city have now dropped 5 points in 2 games since beating us
a win today will suit us nicely
costa is a dirty bugger but exactly the type of striker they needed. he is absolutely lethal with his first touch and has had no problem adapting to the league. they look like the team to beat this year.

All to easy for the Mwanckers. Di Maria running rings around QPR players, but lets see how he faces real opposition. QPR are truly truly awful. They will be fighting relegation the whole season. However, I still have this odd feeling that the Mwancks will be relegated as well this season, no matter who they have bought.
