Scores the winner from a cross by Downing

Before making the assist, Downing would receive a defense splitting through ball from Joe Cole :D

Kevin Nolan scoring the winner would be the real fairy tale story as he is a scouser and a massive red but City's home form is phenomenally good. Our only hope is that City have a raft of injuries to key players and the others choke under the pressure
but I think the fact they are at home will see them over the line.

When the dust has all settled, we will see how we have over achieved this season with our wafer thin squad compared to those around us. We were badly hit because we missed one or two of our players whereas the like of Chelsea could bring out their 3 "substitute" that probably cost as much as our first XI. Who knows what will happen if we were to add to our squad in January?

How is it that we blew it? Some here might view this as cup half empty, I choose to look at it as half full, and we may still win it. So I'll say lets celebrate us being involve in Champions League (hopefully in years to come) and being in contention to win the league right into the last weekend.  :buttrock

Tottenham...now that's what I call "blew it"  :nod

Chelsea fans were booing at the final whistle there, decent result for Norwich but they look as good as gone, they need to beat Arsenal next week and hope Sunderland lose their last two games. A point for Sunderland and they stay up. Poyet has done a great job there, they looked as good as gone

Tottenham weren't even in the title race, how could they blow it if they weren't even in it?
I think a few of you are struggling to grasp what blowing the title means.

Had to laugh as the chavs booed off their team. Sums them up, plastic coonts.

That was their last home game of the season and will be the final match at SB for Cole and perhaps Terry and Lampard. Yet their home fans booed them off and marched home.

It's hard to accept that we've blown it at the moment but believe me when the dust has all settled that's how it will be perceived.

Can't see our season being perceived like that at all, and I mention the 11 wins in a row because when the history of this season is written, that will be one of the over-riding memories, not that we 'blew it'.

Great performance by Norwich to get a draw against Bourinho's bores !! Hopefully that means Chelsea are out of the title race. Good week for Bourinho. Beats Liverpool and then gets a tactical master class from Athletico to end their CL dreams. The special one then fails to break down relegation battling Norwich. This only went some way to ease the pain of last Sunday.

ANYBODY but Liverpool he said: so much for 'The People's Club'!
Even VILLA fans can't stand them; and would prefer Mega-Bucks City to win it!

Just taking a straw poll in my office of, people don't like Rodgers and this general feeling of entitlement that Liverpool fans feel to winning. They feel they are owed it because of the history of the club, Hillsborough and all that.

I think LFC fans would love to believe that but truth is they have so many world class players (who have been in this position before) that they are more likly to get the result needed than not. Anything can happen though. Depends on how up for it Villa are.

think that's the problem, I don't think Villa  are up for it, unlike West ham that have some Ex Liverpool players that have already said they would like to see us win it.
