Well, it was fun while it lasted. There's a huge damage done there anyway. I don't expect them to get back into the top 4 for at least one more season. Hopefully, we'll reach their Premier League title record by then.

There was some discussion after the game on 5Live last night about Man Utd and how they recover. The thinking is there will be a clearout in the summer and a few hundred mil will need to be spent to ensure they are back in the CL the next time around. The thing is club is still massively in debt so it will be interesting to see just how much money Utd will spend. I think fans will look to the Glazers before long to vent their fustration.

Not having to deal with management issues for a quarter century has hit them hard and they dropped
a right bollock with Moyes, bad news they made the right call to get shut before it gets any worse.

To a degree they have suffered the same fate with Ferguson as we did with the boot room generation,
and after decades of success with special people at your club part of you thinks it will never end no
matter who you have in charge, but it does.

We have had pockets of success, here and there, and it will likely be the same for them.

Very difficult to find that magic again once its gone, once in a lifetime if your lucky.

I think this talk of spending £200m a load of balls, the Glazers run Man U as a business and they aren't going to spend £200m to get into a comp that gives £50m at the most, they are not some multi billionaire owners that treats the club as a plaything.

It's nonsense also considering the effect the FFPR are already having on wage bills. Spending £200M in one season woudl immediately tip Man Utd into a situation whereby they were in breach of the FFPR and in the same boat as City in terms of scrutiny.

I agree. I think they took on Moyes because he has a record of doing well with very little money.

They are now linked with players like Cavani, Fabregas, Kroos, Shaw and Lallana. It's scary :(

Linked is the word, we are linked with half the players in Europe every year

Cavani is overrated, Fabregas doesn't want to leave Barca ad Kroos is still young.  As for Shaw...anyone paying £30 million needs their head examined. He's a £12 mill player at most.
