Is he really getting over £100k? In my mind that's insanity and takes a huge target away from Raheem. He's not done nearly enough to earn such a sum. If it's to ward off other teams, I can't see it working. He'd just ask for equal or higher wages. He's not even that great yet. He's very good at some aspects of the game but he lacks in others. He's good at getting down the wing but can't cross for sh*t. Has a lot of work to do before he's in the £100k+ club.

But what exactly did Raheem say? I believe he just told Roy he was tired, which was supposed to be a private comment made to your coach in order for him to accurately determine who best to play or not to play. I think Roy screwed it up by revealing that to the press. Raheem did not say he did not want to play, just that he wasn't feeling 100%, which is a good honest comment that if I'm a coach, would want to hear from my player.  Imagine if a player tells you he is 100% and then bang! 1 minute into the game he pulls up with a hamstring injury. Maybe Raheem was even expecting Roy to rest him a bit so that he could eventually play.

Anyway, all this mess is Roy's fault. He should have handled it better. Next time, any player would be scared to say Sh*t to Roy.

He's got a short memory hasn't he? He was singing a different tune when the shoe was on the other foot.

Fook Hodgson I carnt stand the man. If he can't cope without Stirling against Estonia he should resign as he is clearly not up to the job. I wouldn't mind having a go as England manager loads of money for qualifying from a group Tranmere would win at a canter

Hope Sterling scores against QPR and then celebrates by lying down and pretending to go to sleep.

He seems to have regressed abit... he's good with running with the ball but his decision making for the final ball leaves much to be desired...

Turned down a 70K contract as he wants regular CL football

Probably better off just selling him, once they start all that 'I want regular CL footy' lark it's usually only a matter of time before they go anyway.
Time for Jordan Ibe to step up to the plate.
