laughable that lescott got let off. oh i forgot. he's english.

balotelli gets a 4 game ban for something that could be deemed deliberate but nobody knows 100%. rooney kicks out at someone deliberately, gets a 3 game ban, the fa appeals it and gets the ban reduced.

you couldn't make it up.

To me it looks like he is trying to keep on his feet, to keep his balance and pushed his right leg back to do so. But when his leg went back, it hit Parker and he went over. I really do think that was an accident.

I disagree. When I saw it in real time I thought the same. I changed my mind after the replay.

The replay shows the reality. His foot not only changes direction away from his natural landing point but it also increases in speed.

I have no doubt whatsoever that he 100% meant it. Anyone who has played at any level knows that it is rare that something like that can happen accidentally.

Accidently stepping on a hand...maybe.
Accidently stepping on a head..no chance.

i dont think the ref saw the balloteli stamp. FA have right to act as ref didnt see it. The rooney case was that the ref did see it and deemed it non-deiberate

is the right answer...

Yeah that's right. The ref deemed that Rooney had fouled him, although he didn't see the incident, so he gave Wigan a free-kick. By doing that, Rooney got away with assault and punishment for it.

that's not the point...the point is the ref saw the Rooney incident and (rightly or wrongly) made the call.

The ref didn't see Balloteli stamp on parker, hence the charge after the match.

If a ref sees it and messes up then the FA can't do anything...if he doesn't then the video replay comes into force and action can be taken

How did the ref not see it when hes 4 yards away staring at the incident?  :D

I think a panel of experts should review all games and fine players for violent conduct and more importantly diving, that would drive those 2 things out of the game without interfering with the "flow" of the game.

They should yeah, but they would never do anything to harm an england players career... just keep dishing out the punishment to the same person, make it look like your're working

What about Collocini (SP) smashing open Bellamy's face making him need 5 stitches, how did no one mention that?

I think he is a nutter but he brings a bit a humour to the game - think he is brilliantly eccentric.
