He should be.  How long a sentence would he get for that if he were an average citizen?

The Crown Prosecution Service say that the maximum punishment for John Terry if he's found guilty of this offence is a fine of £2500.

No joke.

If he is prosecuted the FA will be under enormous pressure to impose a huge fine and ban to be seen as comparably fair against the Suarez ruling.

This is if they don't decide to go ahead with their own arbitration before the CPS ruling is announced in February. Seems unlikely but the ICC did exactly that against the Pakistani fixing claims.

He will not get away with it.

If the CPS find him guily the FA have to act, as it brings the game into disrepute, plus the "kick it out" campaign.  It will be impossible for them to not act

I'm not so sure about this one. Unlike Suarez, Terry apparently denies using any words that could be construed as racist. I think that probably creates a need for other evidence over and above the video footage and the word of Anton Ferdinand for Terry to be convicted or found guilty by the FA. It also depends on how convincing his defence argument is.

I can't say I 'hope' he gets found guilty unless he's actually guilty of wrongdoing. I just tend to think the guy is a scumbag anyway, irrespective of the charge.

Hi mate, nice to see you posting again

Regarding Anton Ferdinand, well the CPS stated this Ferdinand submitted his account of the incident to the Football Association and has said he has 'very strong feelings on the matter'.

I guess with the new evidence, footage and Anton Ferdinand' account the CPS and have enough to prosecute Terry

The police are the last of his worries

The FA now HAVE to throw the book at him, especially after what happened Suarez

They could also let the justice system punish him with his massive £2,500 fine and leave it at that by saying he has been tried in a court of law, found guilty, and paid his penalty.

I have no doubt this is what the FA will do.
