With the new financial fair play rules coming into affect fergie b!tch has found another way to manipulate the game.. he acts interested in all the big signings by the competing clubs so that they have to pay more, and in turn buy less players in the long run or don't qualify for Europe.

I'm not even saying that he's gonna be wasting his money on the players, but he will be acting interested in them so that everybody else has to pay more.

I wouldnt put it past him showing false interest in a player to drive up the price or make negotiations harder for us.
Adam being a prime example.
But the Jones and Young transfers are ones that most clubs would want so i dont think for one minute he wanted them because they were our targets.

Disagree. Let's even give them the benefit of the doubt for signing Ashley Young even tho they already have 2 wingers, one much better than Young and the other rated by fergie as much better than Young.

But Phil Jones makes no sense.  Lately our club has gone under a transformation.  We are doing things different and going after young players for the long-run.

Has manure gone under any sort of transformation? No.  Why would they change their stance on Jones out of nowhere? It doesn't make any sense at all.  They have never paid that much money for a player that young that "had potential." Jones isn't a really good player yet, he's nowhere near a really good player yet, he has potential.

Looking at other recent signings of manure's players that had potential:

Hernandez- around 6 million pounds
Bebe- 7.4 million pounds
Smalling- Initial about 9 million pounds-He was a better player than Jones
Fabio and Rafael de Silva- Combined 5.2 million pounds.
Phil Jones- 20 million pounds.

Hmm... which one of those transfers stands out the most?  They don't spend big on potential talents.. Smalling was a more proven CB as he was playing every game well for Fulham.  The fact that they completely change their transfer strategy right after Liverpool register interest in a player that they don't need...

They have O'shea, Evans and Small who are young talents.  Vidic has another 5 years, easy.  Smalling will take over at ferdinand.  That means Phil Jones will have to wait about 6 seasons to earn his starting spot...  And 20 million pounds makes sense?

I don't think so.

Young is a top player, i would rather have him than Nani personally. The fact that he is english with the quota system is a bonus.
Also Nani might end up going if rumours are true. He didnt start him in alot of the big games so clearly doesnt trust him.
With Jones he isnt 15 and a prospect, that's the way you are making it out.
He has already played a full season in the premiership and will be in the England squad this season.
They have Ferdinand who is always injured, Vidic and Smalling, Jones will play next ahead of Jonny Evans and O Shea and Brown will probably be sold.
If you think united have spent close on 20 million on a player just so we dont get him i think your mad.
They done a similar thing with Rooney, if top young players are available its obvious that all of the top sides will be in for them.
You say he doesnt pay over the odds for young talent.
17 million Nani
17 million Anderson
20+ Rooney
12+ for Ronaldo when we were offered him for half that.

They do it all of the time and it often works, sometimes doesnt.

unfortunately they won't have a demise until ferguson goes. he is basically holding that club together. at the end of the day, until they stop winning things the fans couldn't give a monkeys about the debt they are in. the green and gold protests went suspiciously quiet after they won the league. their fans are sh#te. when we were against the owners we united and got rid of them. they abandoned their club and set up a new one. that's the difference.

Sir Alex Ferguson has accused the Football Association of treating Manchester United "like s***".

The United manager, hit with a five-match touchline ban last season, made the claims while talking about having up to eight players on England duty.

Ferguson, 69, said: "The FA may realise who has produced more players for their country than any club in the world.

"Maybe they will realise how important we are to England instead of treating us like s***."

Maybe if he kept his mouth shut the FA wouldn't have to keep clamping on him...

Just a thought like
