I think Chelsea will get Lukaku. They are trying for Neymar and Pastore too, but are being quoted 40mil each.

yeah Lukaku should be a certainty, with Drogba being his idol and all. however i highly doubt that Neymar will join Chelsea. i hope he takes Robinho's advice and move to Italy or Spain. he's more suited to their style. not heard much about Pastore though.

Newcastle are making some interesting purchases. if they turn out anything to be like Tiote, it's very good business for them.

this list involves transfers that does not concern us hence the omission.

i was checking out some the transfers so far and was saddened to see Manure dominating the list.

The most expensive transfers
Jun '11 Jordan Henderson Liverpool from Sunderland £22
Jul '11 David de Gea Man Utd from Atletico Madrid £21
Jun '11 Phil Jones Man Utd from Blackburn £18.7
Jun '11 Ashley Young Man Utd from Aston Villa £18
Jul '11 Connor Wickham Sunderland from Ipswich £9

i thought they were in debt  :glare:
the opening post has been edited with new transfers. Arsenal just snapped up 2 youth players from Barcelona again :D

Rumour is that Martin Joll is looking to bring John Arne Riise to Fulham.  Would be nice to have JAR back in the Prem.

We play Sunderland first game of the season, and I'm a bit nervous to be honest.  They have bought a lot of decent players this summer and will be a completely new team.  If they gel well they could have a really good season next year.

going by the transfer window, Newcastle and Sunderland are the teams to watch next season. they seem very active in the market and i won't be surprised to see them challenge for a Europa spot.

The Mwanckers look like they might bid for Wesley Sneijder or bastion zweiteiger.  Hope they don't get either of them.

I reckon they're gonna get Wes mate, ironically over on Redcafe they have a poll that says they'd prefer Modric or Nasri  :D

Maxi - Sunderland have Steve Bruce, they're destined for a sllide down the table at some point in the season. Them and Newcastle fighting for a European place would certainly make the banter up here interesting anyway  :D

That is what i was thinking re Wesley, however, as i understand it, he is currently on about 200.000 euros a week (approx £180.000 ?). What i understand from all the press talk and other chit chat is that he want's £250.000 a week after tax, though bear in mind, Wes has been asked to lower his wage demands by the Mwanckers. Interesting to see if he will or not. Anyway, the thing is, if he does actually get the £250.000, then i reckon Shrek and and couple of others will kick off about their wages (hope so :). The result will be that the Mwanckers would then be in a bit of trouble and players causing friction....
