Hull have confirmed that Ian Dowie is their new manager to replace Phil Brown. I think this appointment could spell relegation for the Tigers, not a great new manager. With some of the names previously linked with the Hull job, like in this Premier League football blog, I can imagine many fans may be disappointed with getting Dowie.

Can't see Hull coming back up in a hurry.

Was it Dowie I recall doing an interview and saying "you get decisions like that at grounds like Anfield" after his side lost 3-2, although I bet he hadn't even seen replays of the decisions he was moaning about
