So every time another club get a good player at a bargain price its a failure by Rafa?

How dare he let other managers sign players and not know whats going on.what do you want a fuc'king manager that can read minds?

its threads like this you realise that rafa is in a no win situation with some people. If he doesn't get a 'bargain' he gets crucified and if he does get a bargain and it doesn't work out he gets crucified. If the player is cr@p and Rafa drops him, Rafa gets crucified for not giving him enough game time to 'prove his worth'

this thread is going only in one direction...

Gudjohnson would've been a decent signing but I am not sure he is what we need. Not a prolific striker who had tended to play off a main striker for most of his days. May well have taken up space that Gerrard, Yossi and Aquaman would look to play in.

If we are looking to bring in a striker (which we clearly aren't as Rafa's priority for some reason is a f*ckin RB even although we've got 3 of them already!!!!) then IMO we need a "on the shoulder of the last defender" type striker.

Where ?

If thats the case is he weird ?
They already have Defoe, Crouch Keane and Pavlyuchenco.
We have a permanently injured Torres, Kuyt and Ngog.

Where would he more than likely get a game ?

Well, if you give some thoughts to it, the answer maybe in Spurts. Why?!
We all know Rafa is rigid, 4-5-1 formation. Who would get to play in the striker role? Surely, Torres will be ahead of gudjohnson in the eyes or Rafa irregardless or form/fitness. He would have limited chance just like Ngog. We can confirm this when Kyrgiakos gets dropped. As in Spurs, he probably gets better chance of staying in the team if he plays well.

Other than this, he may get the same treatment as Aquaman or Kyrgiakos.

Just my opinion.

I dont think its a bad thread at all, this is a proven premiership striker and we are massively short in that area. It is only on loan so why not ?
Like when he brought Fowler back on a free the other year, that for me was a good thing.
We have a chronic lack of options in attack and he is a versatile player.
If we dont genuinely have the money then fair enough, but if he goes out and signs a stop gap right back i will be fuming.
