Besides the insults, which are of course welcome, I think it's interesting.

When a player scores a goal it's a moment in which feelings burst. And I think it's interesting that Manchester United had Rafa well under they skin and willing to show him something.

It's interesting aswell that Evra seems to share the view of his manager of Rafa's gesture being arrogant. It seems Rafa has been part of Manchester United's dressroom chats.

And this won't be the last season that happens.

What a cĂșnt.

I did notice it at the time, and I think one of the other players joined in. Not that surprising really as Ferguson has always been the master at getting the players to believe the World is against them, the old siege mentality scenario. No mean achievement in itself when you consider that they get every bit of help fom the authorities and the media that is possible.

Hopefully as I've said a couple of times though, we've learnt that if we hit the front next season we keep it shtum. When you're behind, that's when you ramp up the rants. When you're on top, you shut the feck up, keep winning and keep grinning.

Read nothing into it, footballers are notoriously stupid.

It never ceased to amaze me that you are so determined to find yet another way to get at Rafa. Even when it means absolving (and in this case a*se-kissing) an arch-enemy.

Everyone knows you don't care for Rafa, Mick - stop banging the drum now, eh?

On topic, will the smug little b*stard be quite as quick to mock us next year?

I doubt it.

Dirk Kuyt did the same celebration, I think it's going to be the new classic celebration when the two teams play eachother, even 20 years in the future :D

Every celebration will be a kiss/game over gesture in the United Liverpool games now

??? How am I absolving Evra by saying Ferguson is good at getting the siege mentality going, even though they get every assistance from the authorities and the media?

I'm not "absolving" Evra, but nor am I condemning him particularly either. Footballers do daft things, it's insignificant in my view. My reference to Rafa's debates with Fergie this season is simply because I think it'll run and run.

In the past we've seen the Wenger/Ferguson rivalry, then the Mourinho/Ferguson rivalry, and now it's going to be Rafa and the Man Utd man. I would have thought pointing that out, as well as considering the possibiltiy of us hitting the front next season was fairly positive. Obviously not though.

Well if we throw away as many points at home as we have done this year he probably will.

Didn't Dirk Kuyt do the same thing against Hull?
