Carrick 15 million!? - Ridiculous.

I know ManU needed a midfielder, and I know Carrick is a good player, but 15mn is taking the 
.
If Carrick is rated at 15mn, Xabi must be around double that and Stevie triple.
yet more proof that English talent is very pricey.

Madness I tell you, Pennant and Bellamy are roughly from the same quality category but we have paid reasonable money were as Man Utd have been taken to the cleaners by Tottenham.
Man Utd are suffering from being so rich and setting precedents in the past, thank god Rafa has a consistent policy or pursuing value for money or we would be in the same situation eventually, Man Utd are struggling to find good deals because of the money they have and the transfer fees they have paid in the past.
Carrick is a good player, not a top player, he will improve the Man Utd central midfield because they haven’t got any, he is worth about 7/8 Mil, I would guess that there are loads of players abroad as good as Carrick in his position that you could sign for about 5 Mil.

Amen to that (feeling better today Luke? 
). Rafa's transfer policy is the only way to prevent this kind of buggering. And, people were worried that we were going to have to pay over the odds for a RM given our well-publicized search for one. Well, look at the Mancs! How long have they publically been hunting for CMs? They were always going to have to pay inflated prices for any halfway decent CM--especially, as Luke says, given their long history of profligacy.
Good on Tottenham, I say, for forcing them to put up or keep searching!
Oh, and LFC#1, I like the new banner and avatar mate. Somehow it reminds me of Han Solo being carbonized and sold to Jabba the Hut!

If signing Carrick for 15 million isn't confirmation that Ferguson is now senile then I don't know what is.
He's a poor man's Alonso. A similar style of play but inferior in probably every attribute. Spurs have done well to cash in on a player who is the current flavour of the month. The replacement they've got in Zakora is a better player anyway imo.

18.6 includes the bonus money for appearences etc etc. This is just a mad mad price. Think about what we spent on alonso and sissoko....
